Research method

Evidence before offers.

The HaddadStuff Business Constraint Census is a voluntary, opt-in research programme designed to learn what owners and operators are actually experiencing before HaddadStuff decides what is worth building or selling.

What the check-in is

The public Business Constraint Finder asks ten core multiple-choice questions and two optional questions. It looks for signals across three practical lanes: Lead Flow, Operating System and Buy Back Time.

It is not an official census and it is not designed to represent all Australian businesses. Any public finding will be described as applying to HaddadStuff participants, with sample size, field dates and recruitment limitations shown alongside it.

How the result is produced

Version 0.1 uses deterministic rules, not an LLM. The desired 90-day result, perceived friction and adaptive friction question are compared. A primary lane is shown only when at least two of those signals support it. Otherwise the result stays mixed.

The result does not infer financial value, root cause, automation readiness or a prescription. It is an orientation based only on the participant's answers.

What we collect

  • role, state or territory category, broad industry and team-size band;
  • desired outcome, perceived friction and the closest matching problem statement;
  • broad tool categories, AI/automation maturity and prior improvement experience;
  • optional time-cost and next-help preference.

We do not ask for revenue, profit, business name, domain, phone number, customer records, passwords, system access or open-ended business descriptions in version 0.1.

Email is separate

The full result is shown before any email field. If a participant later chooses to receive aggregate findings or register interest in the future HaddadStuff Business Circle, that email and consent record are stored separately from the research answers and connected only by a pseudonymous join key.

Reporting rules

Individual responses are not published. Aggregate reporting uses a minimum cell size of 10, suppresses small cross-tabs and shows sample size, field dates, recruitment sources and non-representative sampling limitations.

Research gates

At 30 qualified Australian completions, the first review is for obvious UX and routing problems. At 100 qualified completions, the first directional demand decision can be made. Frequency alone will not be treated as willingness to pay.
