Owner Time Buyback Check

What should leave the owner’s week first?

Choose one recurring task, not your whole workload. The check classifies the next move before you hire, delegate or automate: stop or prove it, simplify first, delegate with authority, automate a narrow step, or keep the judgement with the owner.

01 · Current load

Include doing, chasing, correcting and reconstructing context. This is capacity tied up today, not a promise of hours you will save.

02 · Purpose

If this task stopped for four weeks, what would materially break?

03 · Process clarity

Could another person follow the normal steps from a short written description?

04 · Exceptions

How often does the normal rule fail or need fresh judgement?

05 · Owner judgement

What kind of judgement or accountability does the task need?

06 · Consequence

If the task is handled badly, how containable is the consequence?

07 · Handoff readiness

Could the task leave the owner today with the right access, information and authority?

Buying back time means removing dependency, not moving clicks around.

A task has not left the owner if normal cases still return for approval, missing context or repair. Change one task, re-measure the actual owner time after the change, and count maintenance and exceptions too.
